PANO – Thay pagoda festival officially opened on April 10 (lunar March 5) in Sai Son commune, Quoc Oai district, in the northern province of Ha Tay, crammed with more than two thousand visitors.
The festival started with worshipping Buddha and religious singing performances.
Most of the tourists joined the festival to make offerings to Buddha, contemplate the landscape, climb the mountain to explore wind cave, fairy cavern and De Thich chessboard, and find out about famous historical relics and celebrities.
During the three-day festival there will be many cultural games. Notably, unique water puppetry of Vietnam is to be performed in a big lake in front of Thay pagoda and mountain, featuring stories of Thach Sanh, Tam Cam and other activities in rural areas such as harvesting, feeding fowls and wrestling.
