The two-day festival, annually held in 6th month of the lunar calendar before the start of a new crop cultivation, aims to express gratitude to the tutelary god of the village and another god for good crops.

During the festival which takes place at the Phong Coc communal house and near the Cua Dinh River, there will be ceremonies worshipping gods at the Phong Coc communal house to pray for bumper crops, prosperity, and happiness for all local families.

Swimming and rice harvesting competitions, and a traditional boat race will also be held to entertain both locals and visitors.
