The street’s sales in the first six months of this year reached nearly VND 20 billion.
Notably, the street enjoyed a growing number of readers, mostly children.
The street hosted eight theme activities with close attachment to the country’s cultural-political events and other festivals, such as the 50th anniversary of the General Offensive and Uprising in Spring 1968, the Lunar New Year of 2018, the celebration of the International Women’s Day, the European Literature Days.
It also hosted 11 exhibitions for different genres of photos, paintings, precious books, and pottery products.
It is worth noting that 95 events, including debuts of books, exchanges with authors, and talks on books held on this special street, are especially designed for international and domestic book-lovers.
Since its establishment, the street has contributed to boosting the reading habit among local people, especially the younger generation.
