Some 120 objects relating to the Son My massacre on March 16, 1968, killing 504 unarmed citizens in Tinh Khe commune, Son Tinh district, the central province of Quang Ngai, have been added to the collection of the Son My relic site.

According to Director Pham Thanh Cong, the relic site has more than 1,200 Son My-massacre-related objects, of which nearly 300 are being showcased.

The newly-collected ones include weapons used by the US troops in the massacre, in which the dead were mostly elderly villagers, women and children; and belongings of the victims found by the locals.

Since the beginning of this year, the Son My relic site has welcomed nearly 70,000 visitors, one tenth of them from foreign countries.

On March 16, 2014, thousands of locals and foreigners gathered in the relic site to pray for the victims.
