Literature composition camp launched
PANO – A literary work composition camp entitled “The armed forces and revolutionary wars” in 2020 was jointly opened by the Military Arts and Literature Magazine, the Literature and Arts Associations of Phu Yen province and Sao Viet Tourist Company on May 10 at the Sao Viet eco-tourist zone.
The opening ceremony drew the participation of Phan Dinh Phung, Vice Chairman of the Phu Yen Provincial People's Committee, Poet Tran Dang Khoa, Vice President of the Vietnam Writers Association and nearly 60 delegates and artists.
In his opening speech, Senior Colonel, Writer Nguyen Binh Phuong held that the organization panel chose Phu Yen province to host the composing camp as it is considered the land of beautiful landscapes, diversified cultural identities, and local people with firm political stance. These factors are expected to inspire the participating artists to good literature works.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the Phu Yen Provincial People's Committee Phan Dinh Phung briefed the participating artists on Phu Yen’s people and land, and hoped that writers and poets participating in the camp would create valuable literary works imbued with Phu Yen’s beauty, helping nationwide readers understand more about the heroic province during the resistance war and at present.
During the program, participating artists will visit some famous landscapes in Phu Yen province.
The literature work composition campaign is scheduled to close on May 19.
