Accordingly, the museum is tasked to preserve and display art works; conduct research activities and exchange programs; and promote cooperation and external relations through professional museum and fine arts activities.

The newly-established museum will be divided into three main parts: an art space and two art galleries of Le Ba Dang and Diem Phung Thi.
