On September 2, hot air balloons were released at Nguyen Thien Thanh road, Thu Thiem ward, Thu Duc city.

This year, the highlight of the release of hot air balloons is that a giant hot air balloon is painted as the national flag. Ba Son bridge (also known as Thu Thiem 2 bridge) and Bach Dang wharf (Ward 1) are ideal places chosen by residents and tourists to watch the release of hot air balloons.

Nguyen Bao Hieu, a tourist from Long An, shared that his family departed for Ho Chi Minh City at 4:30 a.m. His children were excited to see the hot air balloons.

Benjamin Tortorelli, a man from France, said that this was the second time he has come to Vietnam to admire the release of hot air balloons on the National Day. He is so happy to live and work in Vietnam – a wonderful and friendly country.

Accordingly, the release of hot air balloons takes place from 6 to 9 a.m. and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on September 2 and 3. Within the framework of the program to celebrate the 78th anniversary of the National Day, local people have an opportunity to join other exciting cultural, artistic and sports events, especially fireworks displays at Thu Thiem Tunnel in Thu Duc city and Dam Sen Cultural Park in District 11.
