The 30th congress International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) is taking place in Hanoi on August 2 with the participation of 240 delegates from 40 countries and territories.
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan attended the opening ceremony, declaring the support of the Party and Government for the event. He expressed his hope that photographic artists, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (VAPA)’s, will have more works showing Vietnam’s beauty, friendliness, solidarity, and co-operation to international friends.
Mr Nhan presented the congress with a photograph of Khue Van Cac – a beautiful symbol of Hanoi.
During the congress which will last until August 8, more than 100 photographic works by Vietnamese photographers will be showcased.
