Foreign diplomats explore Vietnamese traditional culture
PANO – The Cultural Diplomacy and UNESCO Affairs Department under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ASEAN Women’s Circle of Ha Noi (AWCH), and DELTA group on January 12 jointly held a program for foreign diplomats to experience the Vietnamese traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.

The event draw the participation of representatives from foreign embassies in Vietnam, charge d’affaires and their spouses, and diplomats.
This was part of the activities to celebrate Vietnam’s non-permanent membership of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for the 2020 - 2021 term and its UNSC presidency.
The program aimed to introduce the country’s traditions and customs during the Tet holiday to foreign friends, contributing to tightening solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and other countries as well as among ASEAN member countries.
In the framework of the program, many interesting activities were held, including making chung cakes and enjoying Vietnamese traditional Lunar New Year’s culinary culture.
