PANO - The Fire and Rescue Police Department under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held an award ceremony and an exhibition for the photo contest on fire prevention and fighting activities on October 3 at the Ly Thai To Flower Garden in Hanoi.

The contest is in celebration of the 55th founding anniversary of the Fire Prevention and Fighting force (October 4, 1961).

Launched in March, the contest attracted the participation of thousands of people nationwide. The organizing panel received 1,251 entries by 145 photographers, including 82 photos and 1,169 photo albums, reflecting daily lives and operations of firefighters.

The awards ceremony

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Le Van De, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics under the MPS, said that the contest aimed to promote and diversify information and dissemination activities, contributing to raising people’s awareness of fire prevention and fight.

At the award ceremony, the organizing panel presented one first prize to a photo of Binh Duong province’s firefighters, and two second, three third and nine consolation prizes and selected 100 outstanding photos for  the exhibition.
