Accordingly, during the festival, there are many interesting traditional folk games competitions and cultural programs for participants to join such as crossbow shooting, wrestling, sacred ball throwing, bamboo swings, rice cooking, water puppetry, and demonstrations of “quan ho” (love duet) and “tuong” (classical opera) singing.

The opening ceremony, which was officially opened on February 15, included many solemn procession rituals taking place at the Upper Temple (or Den Thuong), which is the place to worship King An Duong Vuong - the King of Au Lac (the former name of Vietnam in the first century B.C.).

The festival was registered in the list of national intangible cultural heritage in 2023.
