The Hanoi municipal People’s Committee coordinated with the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam to organize the festival. The highlight of the event was the display of 30 flowering cherry trees, 10,000 cherry blossoms branches and some typical flowers of Vietnam.
The event also featured spaces for Japanese and Vietnamese culture, such as an introduction to the Japanese tea ceremony, chess (Igo and Shogi) and the traditional game of Kendama.
The festival was to mark the 45th founding anniversary of the Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations.
This was a good chance to introduce Japanese culture and people to the people of Hanoi.
