Practicing rites at the festival
Cau Ngu is an annual traditional festival held by deep-sea fishermen of Da Nang city in particular and the Central Region of Vietnam in general. The festival consists of rituals, including worship rites, peace wish rites, etc. and festive activities, which include folk games and competitions, such as fishing-net weaving competition, tuong (classical opera) singing, and more.

The event, a special cultural feature of Central Coastal Region, has been practiced and preserved for hundreds of years in the  region.
