2019 Tran Temple Festival opens in Thai Binh
PANO - The Tran Temple Festival opened on February 17 (the 13th day of the first lunar month) at the national special historical complex of the Tran Kings’ shrines and tombs in Hung Ha district, Thai Binh province.
The four-day festival consists of two parts, namely the ritual ceremonies and festivals with many cultural activities and folk games such as wrestling competition, cock fighting, stick-pushing and kite flying, and Chung cake wrapping contest.

During the first day of the festival, thousands of visitors offered incense at the relic site to commemorate the great merit of the Tran Kings.
The Tran Temple Festival in Thai Binh province was recognized as national intangible heritage in 2014. The historical complex includes the Temple dedicated to the Tran Kings and tombs of the Tran Dynasty’s ancestors.
