PANO – The 2013 Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa Sea Festival will take place from June 8th to 11th with various activities, announced the organizing panel at a press conference on May 31st in Nha Trang City.

The festival includes a wide range of activities, such as road festival, finale of the “Vietnamese Sea Queen” contest, the international sea tourism fair to introduce products at 120 stalls, sailboat race, exhibition on Vietnam’s country and people, and Truong Sa (Spratly) Archipelago.

Visitors could also learn more about traditions and customs of people in coastal areas through cultural activities.

Besides, some activities towards Truong Sa Archipelago, such as the closing and awarding ceremony of a writing contest on seas and islands in Khanh Hoa province, a book exhibition on Vietnam’s sea and islands as well as an exhibition on documents and photos reaffirming the Vietnam’s sovereignty over Truong Sa and Hoang Sa (Paracel) Archipelagoes will be also organized during the event.

The opening ceremony of the festival is scheduled at 8pm in Nha Trang city and broadcast live on Vietnam Television Channel 1.
