The meeting was among activities to realize the agreement reached earlier by the two governments.
During the event, the two sides consented to continue to maintain high-level regular contacts and exchanges and bring into play efficiency of bilateral cooperation mechanisms.

They agreed to boost cooperation to successfully organize activities in celebration of the 55th anniversary of the establishment of the two countries’ diplomatic ties (June 24, 1967-2022).
In the coming time, the two sides will actively promote dissemination of information and education among young generations of the two nations about the friendship, neighborliness, and cooperation outcomes of the two countries.
In addition, they will effectively carry out cooperation agreements on national defense, security, speed up the search, collection, and repatriation of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisors who laid down their lives in wartime in Cambodia.
Emphasizing the two sides’ concerted efforts to strengthen connectivity between the two economies and keep the momentum of the bilateral trade and investment growth, the two officials agreed to consider and propose appropriate policies in order to remove difficulties and obstacles facing the Vietnamese and Cambodian enterprises.
They will further enhance cooperation in transport connectivity, tourism, agro-forestry-fishery, post and telecommunications, information technology, labor, natural resources and environment, among others.
The two sides spoke highly of their cooperation and coordination efforts at regional and international forums, especially in the framework of the United Nations, ASEAN, sub-region cooperation mechanisms, including the efficient and sustainable use of water resources in the Mekong River.
Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son confirmed that Vietnam will support Cambodia to successfully perform its role as ASEAN Chair in 2022, making positive contribution to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
