Ho Chi Minh City to host ASEAN village
The ASEAN Village will take place for the first time at the 23-9 Park, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City from September 21-24.
The event is organized by the municipal Department of External Affairs and the Consulates General of the 10 Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member nations.
The cultural exchange event aims to mark the 50th founding anniversary of ASEAN and the 22nd anniversary of Vietnam's admission to the bloc.
Founded in 1967, the 10-member ASEAN groups Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
ASEAN is one of Vietnam’s leading trading partners and an important driving force in helping Vietnam’s economy maintain its exports and growth over recent years.
