HCMC and Lao localities to boost comprehensive cooperation
PANO - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan met with Lao Deputy Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone, member of the Politburo of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and a high-ranking delegation of Lao Government on October 25.

Nhan highly appreciated Deputy PM Sonesay Siphandone's working visit, which is made amid the 55th founding anniversary of the Vietnam-Laos diplomatic relations and the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation between the two countries. He also shared Vietnam's experience with the Laos delegates in agriculture, application of information technology and development of collective economy. He noted that HCMC will make all-out efforts to enhance cooperation with and assist in the development of the Lao localities. The city is now actively implementing cooperation projects in various fields with some Lao localities.
For his part, Deputy PM Sonexay Siphandone thanked leaders and people of HCMC for their close friendship and coordination with Lao localities to organize fruitful cooperation programs in 2017, greatly helping educate younger generations of bilateral ties.
He also hoped that the city would continue to promoting cooperative relations with Lao localities in sharing experience, particularly in enhancing human resources quality and investment.
