Delegation of Cambodian Ministry of Cults and Religions visits pagoda in Ho Chi Minh City
PANO – The delegation of the Cambodian Ministry of Cults and Religions, led by Minister Chhit Sokhon, visited Candaransi Pagoda – the largest Khmer pagoda in Ho Chi Minh City on November 21.
The visit was made within the framework of the delegation’s working visit to Vietnam.

Welcoming the visiting delegation, Deputy Chief of Office 2 of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Central Committee and Deputy Head of Managing Committee of Ho Chi Minh City’s Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Most Venerable Danh Lung briefed the guests on the situation of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha as well as the activities of Khmer Theravada Buddhism.
For his part, Cambodian Minister of Cults and Religions Chhit Sokhon expressed the hope that in the coming time, religions of Cambodia and Vietnam in general and Vietnamese and Cambodia Buddhist Sangha in particular will foster cooperation, contributing to consolidating and building solidarity, friendship, and cooperation between the two countries and bringing about practical benefits for the two peoples.
