The event will look to assert Thai food products on the world stage, while itself aiming to become Asia's most prominent food industry convention.

Producers from up to 40 nations have already registered to take part in the fair, which is expected to generate up to THB 1.5 billion in sales, adding to a THB 7 billion forecast for the year.

The Thai Ministry of Commerce has placed great importance on the Thai food sector, as it is among the top five sources of export revenue for the Kingdom, reaching USD 24 billion last year.
