Annual fruit festival underway in central Thailand
An annual fruit festival has been opened in the central province of Nakhon Pathom to promote farm produce and high quality food items to visitors from across the country.
Tourism Minister Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul on January 29 chaired an official opening of the Nakhon Pathom Food and Fruit Festival 2017, which runs between January 28 and February 3.
The event was initiated to help make fruit and farm produce of the area famous, as well as making a wide variety of food from the province better known among consumers nationwide, while promoting the economy of Nakhon Pathom.
Visitors to the festival are invited to enjoy and taste food from over 30 popular shops and learn more about the tourist destinations and local culture, as well as quality local products.
