We would like to introduce monthly destinations, activities, and festivals within the country based on criteria such as wide recognition, popularity among Vietnamese visitors, rich experiences, and convenient travel.
New experiences in Cat Ba (Hai Phong)
Cat Ba Island, located southeast of Ha Long Bay and part of Hai Phong City, is a destination famous for its natural beauty, stunning beaches, and diverse ecosystems. June marks the start of the peak travel season in Cat Ba. New experiences on the island include jet ski fireworks shows, the Vui-Fest night market, seaside restaurants, and eco-friendly transportation routes. In addition, visitors can trek through Cat Ba National Park, explore the traditional Viet Hai fishing village, go kayaking, or swim in the clear waters of Lan Ha Bay.

To avoid long ferry queues, visitors should use the cable car combined with a bus service instead of driving private vehicles.
Late plum season in Moc Chau
Normally, Moc Chau’s man hau (hau plums) reach peak ripeness in early May. However, this year, due to unusual weather, the plum valleys are only now entering the prime harvest season. Some of the most popular plum-picking spots include Na Ka Valley, Mu Nau, Phieng Khoang, Nong Truong townlet, and small orchards near the townlet center. Entry to orchards costs between VND 30,000 and 50,000 per person. Early-season plums are priced between VND 50,000 and 70,000 per kilogram, depending on the time.
Moc Chau is an ideal summer getaway thanks to its cool climate, ranging from 20 to 25°C. Visitors can also explore tea hills, Ban Ang pine forest, Dai Yem Waterfall, Hang Tau primitive village, and enjoy local specialties such as salmon and sturgeon.
Cave tours in Quang Binh
During the hot summer, while the average outdoor temperature in Quang Binh ranges from 27 to 37°C, the caves in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park offer a cool, fresh atmosphere with stable temperatures from 22 to 25°C. For more than half of the trekking journey, visitors mainly move under forest canopies or inside caves. Particularly, summer tours also allow visitors to swim freely in streams, underground lakes, and at campsites within the caves.

In summer, the vegetation around the cave areas flourishes, creating a lush natural environment. The higher temperatures boost biodiversity, creating ideal conditions for plant growth and reproduction. As visitors trek, they may hear birds singing and see colorful butterflies fluttering along the trail, enhancing the overall experience.
Beaches in Northern and Central regions
In June, while some coastal areas like Phu Quoc, Con Dao, and Nam Du enter the rainy season, beaches in the Northern and Central regions are at their most beautiful. With dry, mild weather and diverse natural landscapes, destinations including Quan Lan, Co To, Cat Ba, Ha Long, Sam Son, Cua Lo, Thien Cam, Nhat Le, Hue, Da Nang, Hoi An, Quy Nhon, Phu Yen, Nha Trang, Mui Ne, and others attract large numbers of tourists.
Each location kicks off various summer tourism programs to draw visitors, such as the Sam Son Street Carnival, Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, and Nha Trang Sea Tourism and Culture Festival.
Since June marks the start of the domestic peak travel season, visitors should book flights and accommodations early to avoid crowds and high prices.
