Vietnam’s airports serve nearly 37 million passengers in last four months
Airports in Vietnam served nearly 37 million passengers in the first four months of this year, up 55% compared to the same period of last year, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV).
Of the total, there were 9.7 million foreign and 27.2 million local passengers, marking a year-on-year increase of 976% and 18% respectively.

In April, airports across the country served 9.17 million passengers including 2.65 million foreign ones.
Vietnamese airlines carried 18.2 million passengers in the first four months of 2023, an increase of 56% compared to the same period last year, according to the CAAV.
Meanwhile, the volume of goods through airports decreased by 24.3% compared to the same period in 2022 with only 378,400 tons.
Particularly, the airports dealt with only 272,000 tons of international cargo, down 32.1% from the same period in 2022.
