The three-day event, which is co-organized by the Vietnam Tourism Association and the municipal People’s Committee, Department of Tourism and Tourism Association, aims to boost tourism recovery post COVID-19 and lure international travelers to the country.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Doan Van Viet said since March 15, Vietnam's tourism industry has been gradually recovering with many positive signals. The country has so far served 2.7 million international visitors and nearly 100 million domestic holidaymakers. The total tourism revenue has reached over 457 trillion VND (19 billion USD).
With its role as the economic center of the central region, Da Nang is one of the bright spot in the country in terms of tourism. It is one of the three important domestic tourist attractions.
The official said the event will create a chance for travel firms and localities in the central region and the country as a whole to update information and explore cooperation opportunities.
