Vietjet receives more Airbus aircraft
PANO - The budget airline Vietjet has received one more Airbus A320 aircraft under a wet leasing agreement to meet increasing demand during the Lunar New Year festival (Tet).
The new plane will be added to the carrier’s existing fleet to supplement the capacity of the routes where demand is outstripping supply.
By the end of the period from January 31 to March 2, Vietjet will have operated nearly 6,700 flights, providing almost 1.4 million seats as part of its endeavor to meet higher demand ahead of the Tet holiday.
The airline has also increased the number of check-in kiosks at airports and encouraged passengers to use the online self-service check-in on the carrier’s website in order to save time and reduce pressure at airports.
Vietjet has been frequently opening new routes, adding more aircraft to its fleet, and offering many added services to provide additional value and meet the demand of passengers.
