A sea festival named “Thuan An, a call from the sea” was held on June 16-17 in Thuan An town, Phu Vang district by the Tourism Department of Thua Thien Hue province.
The event aimed at exploring cultural identities, tourist potential as well as sea tourism in the area.
The festival with various activities including beach volleyball, mini-football, boat racing, singing performances attracted a number of domestic and foreign visitors.
During the event, an exhibition was held to introduce local handicrafts such as timber products, fish sauces, dried fish and other agricultural products.
Earlier, the People’s Committee of Phu Vang district and local tourist sector spent over 100 million VND to upgrade facilities for the sea tourist season 2007.
