Khanh Hoa launches tourism promotion program

Delegates announce the nine-million visitor milestone and launch the tourism promotion program for the remainder of the year.

In the first nine months of this year, Khanh Hoa province welcomed some 9 million visitors, up 57.9% year-on-year, completing 100% of the year plan. Of the visitors, there were 3.6 million foreigners, exceeding 20% of the plan, and 5.4 millions of domestic visitors, meeting 90% of the target. Revenue from tourism was estimated at VND 44,138.4 billion, an increase of 61.9% against the same period last year.

Speaking at the event, Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le Huu Hoang emphasized that it was a special cultural and art event to announce the milestone of meeting the year target three months earlier and confirmed the development of the provincial tourism and demonstrated Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa’s growing attraction to visitors at home and abroad.

He hoped that the newly-launched program would attract more visitors to Khanh Hoa to explore and experience its typical cultural and natural values.

At the event, the organizer honored sectors, departments, localities, press agencies, businesses and units for their contributions to the development of Khanh Hoa tourism.
