Most motels and hotels were crowded. So accommodation prices increased to two or three times more than usual, while catering services and entertainment prices remained stable.
The Lam Dong provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism set up a hotline to help tourists find accommodations without being overcharged.
Da Lat has around 800 hotels, motels, and hostels, including 320 two- to five-star hotels which can accommodate 40,000 visitors per day.
City officials also allowed residents to open their houses to guests during the holiday.
