Agreement signed to promote tourism development in Vietnam, Myanmar
PANO - Vietnam Travel and Marketing, Transports Joint-Stock Company (Vietravel) and 24 Hour Group of Companies (Myanmar) signed a memorandum of understanding on December 13 on promoting aviation and tourism development with the aim of meeting the maximum travel needs of the two peoples.
Tourists are preferring air transport to other means of transport thanks to its convenience and class as nearly 80 percent of outbound travelers use air transport.
According to preliminary figures, Vietravel’s tourists using air transport accounted for more than 60 percent of the total number of tourists in both inbound and outbound tourism.
Meanwhile, Myanmar has attracted a lot of tourists worldwide to visit and explore the country’s historical Buddhist architecture and unique natural landscapes. Therefore, in Vietnam, Myanmar has become a popular tourist destination for Vietnamese tourists. Besides, the travel demand of Myanmar people has been on the rise.
Therefore, the partnership of Vietnamese and Myanmar companies is promising to thrive.
Apart from the above cooperation, the two sides will coordinate in organizing charter flights and agents to distribute tickets for scheduled flights and personnel training. They will share information on tourism development needs and trends, and organize marketing activities to promote the development of tourism in both Vietnam and Myanmar.
