Long Thanh airport feasibility report assessed
PANO – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has asked relevant agencies and localities to quickly make a appraisal of the feasibility of Phase I of the project to build Long Thanh international airport in Dong Nai province.
The Government leader assigned the Minister of Planning and Investment to promptly complete the project’s feasibility study.
The ministry should also hand it to the PM on time so that the Government can submit the paper to the National Assembly (NA) at the next plenary meeting of the 14th NA in October 2019.

Reportedly, Long Thanh International Airport covers an area of more than 5,580ha and can serve up to 100 million passengers and handle 5 million tons of cargo per year. Its construction is divided into three phases.
In the Phase I, which is expected to be finished by 2025, a runway and a passenger terminal, along with other supporting works, will be built to serve some 25 million passengers and 1.2 million tons of cargo per year.
