The cooperation agreement, inked by the two sides in Dien Bien Phu city on September 28, covers programs in Dien Bien Dong, Muong Cha, Tua Chua and Tuan Giao districts, and projects to help the poor develop domestic economy and end violence against children.
These projects cost an estimated USD 7.3 million and run from October 1, 2017 to September 30, 2022.
Over the past time, the WVV-financed programs and projects have significantly contributed to spurring local economic development, improving living standards of locals, tackling social problems and removing difficulties facing local people, especially minority children.

Since its inception in Vietnam in 1988, the WVV has rolled out a total of 39 programs in 14 cities and provinces, benefiting about 3 million children each year.
