Vietnam Red Cross Society conducts gratitude activity
PANO - The Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, in collaboration with the Ha Giang provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee, held a program on July 9 and 10 to present gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers, families of wounded and fallen soldiers in Vi Xuyen district, Ha Giang province.

The event was part of the activities to mark the 75th anniversary of Wounded and Fallen Soldiers' Day (July 27, 1947 - 2022).
At the event, the organizing panel presented 300 gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers, families of wounded and fallen soldiers, former volunteer youths, needy national contributors and victims of unexploded ordnance.
The organizers also handed over breeding pigs to 300 needy former soldiers, breeding cows to ten families of needy former soldiers, and 170 gifts to the COVID-19 pandemic strongly-affected needy former soldiers.

All the gifts worth VND 1.5 billion were donated by the “Sharing” charitable group established by Mai Thi Thanh (spouse of former President Truong Tan Sang), the Charitable Board of the Ho Chi Minh City Buddhist Sangha, the Vietnam Martyrs' Family Support Association, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society.
At the event, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society Bui Thi Hoa expected that the province’s authorities and organizations will work with the unit to conduct survey and launch projects to support victims of unexploded ordnance and needy children.
