Poor pupils receive rice

A Swiss NGO (Non-Governmental Organization), the Dariu Foundation, on Dec 21st, handed over a newly built kindergarten to Trung Thanh Commune, Vung Liem District, Vinh Long Province.

The school is the second one to be built by the Dariu Foundation in Vinh Long Province this year at a total cost of VND 500 million and has a capacity for 250 children.

In addition, the NGO has also given scholarships worth nearly VND 2 billion to nearly 1,000 poor students.

At present, the NGO is offering micro-financial services to more than 7,000 poor families in Dong Nai and Vinh Long provinces.
