 Staff and employees raise fund to support flood-hit people in the central provinces. 
* The Central Committee's Commission for Propaganda and Training (CPT) on September 19 raised funds for flood and storm victims of the central provinces to help them resume normal lives. Head of the CPT, Vo Van Thuong and all agency's staff also contributed one day’s salary to support the flood-hit people. The money will be sent to the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) and then to needy people. On the same day, the Vietnam Famers Association launched a fund-raising drive, and each staff also contributed one day’s salary and presented VND 500 million to local people in the central provinces through the Vietnam Red Cross.

* Similarly, the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee (VFFCC) also mobilized compatriots nationwide and Vietnamese overseas to support people in six central provinces.

Recent floods have seriously damaged many provinces in the central region and the worst hit are Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Nghe An, Quang Tri.

The Presidium also asked the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee (VFFCC) to instruct and raise fund to help local people in the central.

Accordingly, representatives of the Ministry of Finance donated VND 500 million while Duc Giang Garment Company supported VND 50 million and all staff of the VFF also contributed one-day’s salary to help flood victims.

* The Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee of Hanoi raised VND 7 billion to support six central provinces to overcome the consequences of the storm Doksuri.
