PANO - The Military Medical Academy on June 9th carried out its 3rd blood donation in this year. 150 out of 250 volunteers have donated blood.
Over recent years, blood donation has been encouraged among the academy’s staff and students. Each year, the academy organises 4 drives with the participation of 300 to 500 doctors, assistant doctors, teachers and cadres. Each drive collected between 100 to 200 units of blood.
Military Hospital 103, a unit of the Academy, needs from 1,560 to 1,800 litres of blood for patients each year.
