        Helicopter transports COVID-19 vaccines to Con Dao district
    
        
            
                PANO – The Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company under Army Corps 18, on August 1, assigned a Mi-172 helicopter numbered VN-8427 to transporting COVID-19 vaccines and medical supplies from Vung Tau Airport to Con Dao district.
        
        
        
            
	The flight was operated by Senior Colonel Nguyen Duc Hanh (pilot), Captain Bui Hoang Duong (copilot) and Non-commissioned Major Tran Duc Thu (aerial mechanic).

	It is the third time the company has used its helicopters to transport COVID-19 vaccines and necessities to the island district.
	As planned by the Con Dao district People’s Committee, in the third phase of COVID-19 vaccination, nearly 1,500 people will be vaccinated against the coronavirus from August 2 to 11 at the district's Civilian-Military Medical Center.

	Previously, the district conducted two phases of COVID-19 vaccination for prioritized groups in line with the Government’s Resolution No.21 from May to June 2021.
	The district aims to vaccinate 70% of its residents to attain herd immunity.
	Up to now, Con Dao district has not recorded any COVID-19 cases in the community.
