PANO – Nearly 90 disadvantaged children with cleft lips and palates in the Central Highlands provinces of Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Gia Lai and Kon Tum have been provided with free check-ups and surgery at the Hospital of the Central Highlands University in Dak Lak.

The meaningful program was carried out by Amway Vietnam Co. Ltd. and the Operation Smile Organization.

It was also part of the Amway One by One campaign held by the Amway Group worldwide to help disabled children have a better life.

Since its beginning operations in Vietnam in 2008, Amway Vietnam has donated tens of billions of VND to conduct social activities, focusing mainly on the areas of healthcare and education for local children.

In Vietnam, approximately one in every 700 babies is born with a cleft lip and/or cleft palate.
