PANO - The main values of President Ho Chi Minh's military humanities were highlighted at a workshop held by the Institute of Military Social Sciences and Humanities under the Ministry of National Defence on May 12th in Hanoi. Many civilian and military experts and scientists attended the event.

The event is part of practical activities in celebration the 125th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh. Reports and remarks presented at the workshop focused on analyzing and explaining the foundation and development of his thoughts as well as its application into the national construction and defence cause in the new context.

The workshop defined five key values of the Ho Chi Minh Thought and affirmed that military humanity is part of the Ho Chi Minh Thought in military, which deeply reflects his humane viewpoint in military activities and revolutionary movements, especially the ideas showing the desire for peace of the humankind and liberation for the nation and people. The Ho Chi Minh Thought, learned from practical activities, shows the creative application and promotion of Marxism-Leninism to the country’s specific conditions in close combination with its national culture.

During the workshop, participants clarified that President Ho Chi Minh’s military humanities contains historic and practical values for the national revolutionary cause in the new period, helping build Vietnam into a strong nation with an equitable, democratic and civilized society.
