PANO - Vietnamese candidate Nguyen Duy Thanh bagged a bronze medal for the Vietnamese team at the WorldSkills Competition 2015, which was held from August 5th to 17th in Brazil, after earning 535 points out of a total possible score of 600 in IT Software Solutions for Business.

According to the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, it is the first-ever medal Vietnam has won at a WorldSkills Competition. Thanh was also awarded the “Best of Nation” prize among representatives of 59 participating countries this year.

In addition, Vietnamese candidates won eight Medallions for Excellence in several skills including web design, welding, mechanical engineering design – CAD, bricklaying, CNC milling, plumbing and heating and mechatronics.
Notably, it was the first time Vietnam had taken part in the skills of IT Software Solutions for Business, CNC milling and welding.
