A delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) took part in the International Conference of Asian Political Parties’ (ICAPP) symposium on green development in the Chinese city of Xian from May 29-31.
The delegation was led by Standing Deputy Head of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Affairs Vuong Thua Phong.
During the conference themed “Promote Green Development and Build a Beautiful Asia Together”, participants from 30 countries shared their experience in ecological preservation and the implementation of green and sustainable development in accordance with each country’s specific conditions.
They also agreed that green development drives steady growth and plays an important role in international cooperation between political parties.
The conference adopted the Xian Initiative calling on Asian political parties to attach importance to green development and their role in promoting international cooperation to build a beautiful Asia .
On the occasion, the ICAPP Standing Committee held a meeting to discuss measures to deploy the outcomes of the Committee’s 19th meeting hosted by Vietnam in April.
