Senior Russian anti-air force officers have recalled with pride their contributions to Viet Nam ’s heroic epics over US aggression with the Paris Peace Treaty signed 30 years ago as a keynote.

The meeting was held by the Russian Association of War Veterans with Viet Nam Experiences in Moscow region, Russia , on Feb.16, to mark the signing of the Paris treaty in 1973 that led to the US military withdrawal from Viet Nam .

Sen. Lieut. Gen. Anatoly Nogovitsyn, Deputy Commander in Chief of the Russian Anti-Air Force, and Anatoly Khyupenen, President of the War Veterans Association of Anti-Air Forces, said they were very proud of being part of Viet Nam ’s military victories, especially the “Ha Noi-Dien Bien Phu Battle in the Air.”

In reply, Ambassador Bui Dinh Dinh expressed thanks to invaluable and generous assistance from the former Soviet Union , Russia , to Viet Nam in their past struggle for national independence and freedom.

“Today, Viet Nam and Russia continue with their traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation in the interest of the two nations,” emphasised the Vietnamese diplomat.
