Speaking at the handover ceremony, representatives of the US Government thanked and appreciated the policies, the goodwill, and the increasingly effective support of the government and people of Vietnam.

Search for remains of US soldiers missing in action during the war in Vietnam is among the humanitarian activities jointly conducted by the governments of Vietnam and the United States. And this is the 133rd handover of US remains since 1973.
