The Red Spring festival was held at the My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi on February 20 by the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion and the Hanoi Municipal steering board for blood donation.
The festival was attended by State Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan, Minister of Health Nguyen Quoc Trieu, President of the Vietnam Red Cross Society Tran Ngoc Tang, representatives of related agencies and organizations, and other interested individuals.
The event aimed to call on the community to join hands to resolve the serious deficit of blood in Hanoi’s hospitals.
It is expected to attract 20,000 volunteers to donate a total of 5,000 units of blood
There were also various cultural activities at the festival that included famous singers and artists.
