The President noted that while the global and regional situation remains complicated, domestically, the two-tier local administration model has shown initial efficiency after two months of implementation, and Party congresses at all levels are being actively organized. Against this backdrop, the office has demonstrated solidarity, responsibility, and close coordination with relevant agencies, providing timely advice and effective support for the execution of work programs and plans.

State President Luong Cuong holds a working session with the Presidential Office on August 27 to review tasks for August and outline priorities for September.

Looking ahead, President Luong Cuong emphasized that the office faces a heavy workload requiring maximum capacity, flexible responses, and proactive action in conducting research, advising, and supporting the President and Vice President in both domestic and external affairs. He stressed the need for practical, in-depth, and timely recommendations that ensure progress and quality.

Agreeing with the office’s proposed priorities, President Luong Cuong underlined several key tasks for the coming period. He requested close coordination with relevant bodies to provide effective support for the President and Vice President in important domestic and international events marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2). He also asked the office to proactively prepare and coordinate work related to upcoming external activities of State leaders.

The President further instructed the office to carefully review and handle amnesty dossiers in connection with the 80th anniversary of the nation’s founding, in line with the Party's guidelines, the State's laws, and proper procedures. He stressed the importance of wide communication and the timely announcement of the 2025 amnesty decision on the occasion of National Day (September 2), highlighting the superiority and humanity of the regime and leniency of the Party and State’s policies.

According to a report presented at the meeting, under the comprehensive and close leadership of the President and Vice President in August, and with the proactive management of the office’s leadership, officials and staff have continued to uphold responsibility and effectively fulfil assigned tasks. Their work has supported the President and Vice President in carrying out duties across legislative, executive, judicial, defense-security, and diplomatic fields.

Notably, the President’s and Vice President’s domestic and foreign activities ahead of the 80th anniversary celebrations have drawn strong public and international attention and appreciation.

On the basis of the results achieved and tasks ahead, in September, the Presidential Office will continue to focus its research, advisory, and support work on key priorities in both domestic and external affairs.
