Over 13,500 people took part in the 5th Lawrence S.Ting Charity Walk held by the Phu My Hung Joint Venture Company, in conjunction with the People’s Committees of Districts 7, 8, Nha Be and Binh Chanh in Ho Chi Minh City on January 10th.

Reportedly, over VND2.5 billion was raised in the charity walk to assist poor people during the upcoming Lunar New Year Festival.

The event has been held annually since 2006, in response to a campaign launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels to help the poor.

The campaign has raised over VND4.5 billion from nearly 55,000 participants during the past five years.
