After that, the National Assembly voted to pass the Law on Cooperatives (amended) with 466 voting yes, or 94.33% of the total number of National Assembly deputies.
Chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee for Science, Technology and Environment Le Quang Huy presented a report explaining, acquiring, and revising the draft Resolution on investment policy of a road project from National Highway 27C to provincial road DT.656 in Khanh Hoa province, which will connect with Lam Dong and Ninh Thuan provinces. Later, the National Assembly voted to approve the resolution with 471 voting in favor, equivalent to 95.34% of the total number of National Assembly deputies.
Then, presided over by National Assembly Vice Chairman Tran Quang Phuong, the lawmakers listened to Chairman of the National Assembly 's Committee for National Defense and Security Le Tan Toi's report explaining, acquiring opinions, and revising the draft Law on Civil Defense. Later, the National Assembly deputies cast votes on the bill with 469 saying yes, accounting for 94.94% of the total number of National Assembly deputies.
Minister of Public Security To Lam, authorized by the Prime Minister, presented a report on the draft Law on forces participating in the protection of security and order at the grassroots level. Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for National Defense and Security Le Tan Toi presented a report on the verification of the draft law. After that, the lawmakers discussed the bill in groups.
In the afternoon, presided over by National Assembly Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Hai, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Science, Technology, and Environment Le Quang Huy presented a report on explaining, acquiring opinions, and revising the draft Law on Consumer Protection (revised). After that, the National Assembly voted to pass the draft law with 463 deputies saying yes, or 93.72% of the total number of National Assembly deputies.
The legislators also discussed the draft Law on Water Resources (revised). The majority of opinions agreed with the need to amend the law.
They discussed issues including those related to protecting and restoring water resources; regulation, distribution and exploitation, and use of water resources; economic tools, policies, and resources for water resources; responsibility for State management of water resources; general planning on exploitation and use of water resources.
At the end of the discussion session, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Dang Quoc Khanh gave a speech explaining and clarifying several issues raised by National Assembly deputies.
As planned, on June 21, the National Assembly will hold a plenary session to discuss the draft Land Law (amended). The session will be televised live on the National Assembly Television Channel.
