PANO – The Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh municipal Party Committee, Dinh La Thang, hosted a reception for Mark Day, Microsoft General Manager of the Government Industry for Worldwide Public Sector, on March 31st in the city.

At the reception, the Vietnamese official expressed hopes of boosting collaboration  between the city and the US corporation on environmental management, science and technology development, smart traffic systems, and e-government, to name but a few. HCM City municipal authorities pledged to create a dynamic business environment and other favorable conditions to attract more foreign investors, including the US Microsoft Corporation.

For his part, the guest agreed on the benefits and applications of information technology throughout the world. He also agreed to strengthen collaboration with Vietnam's HCM City in developing information technology, setting up management mechanisms, and building a civilized and modern city.
