PANO - Remains of martyr Sam Hai Doan has been handed over to his family in Quy Chau district, Nghe An province.
Born in 1955, Sam Hai Doan was enlisted in the army in 1971. He worked as a nurse for Company 3 of Battalion 4 of Army Corps Truong Son. In 1978, his unit, stationed in Dong Xoai commune of Song Be province (present Dong Xoai town, Binh Phuoc province), was assigned to construct bridge No. 2 on Highway 14. The nurse and four other comrades died on their way to the regiment in Dak Lak to take more medicines.
After a long time searching for the martyr’s remains, the Dong Xoai town’s Military Command in Binh Phuoc province found and exhumed the remains on July 19th.
