PANO – The Hai Son Shipbuilding and Repairing Company, under the Song Thu Multi-Production Firm (the General Department of Defence Industry) laid down a keel to build the 80-ton landing carrier, ST-2300, on April 3rd.
The “ST-2300”, 27.5m in length, 6.5m in width and 2.8m in height, can sail at 12 nautical miles per hour and operate continuously over 60 hours with multiple functions such as landing of troops, weapons and equipment, as well as search and rescue.
Hai Son Company is one of the biggest shipbuilding enterprise in the Central region. Previously, the company repaired two modern missile-carrying ships Ly Thai To and Dinh Tien Hoang.
