The ceremony, which was held on August 20 morning in celebration of the 128th birthday of late President Ton Duc Thang (August 20, 1988), was participated by Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Dinh La Thang, other city leaders, senior military officers, war veterans, representatives of socio-politcial and professional organizations, businessmen and people.
At the ceremony, delegates highlighted the late president’s contributions to the national liberation cause and admired his good virtues and revolutionary career.
On the occasion, the Ton Duc Thang Museum received 26 artifacts and 80 documents on the late president from the Ho Chi Minh Museum.
The museum also organized a number of activities to commemorate President Ton Duc Thang and to popularize information about the late president’s life and career.
